An Apostille is a special form of certificate authentication prepared under the terms of an international treaty known as “The Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents.”

The Apostille simplifies the authentication process by exempting documents certified with the Apostille at the state level from any additional certification by a higher authority, such as at the US Department of State or consulate.

If you need to present a document in another foreign country, the legalization of a document will be required as a form of legal authentication of the document by the relevant authorities.
